Ashram Rules & Code of Conduct
To maintain a clean, peaceful, and spiritually charged environment, all guests, students, and staff must adhere to the following rules and guidelines. Discipline is central to the School of Hatha Yoga:
Crucial Campus Regulations
- Zero Intoxication: Smoking, alcohol, meat, eggs, fish, drugs, or chemical stimulants are strictly prohibited anywhere on our 3-acre campus.
- Dress Code: Dress modestly at all times. Tights, short pants, and sleeveless tops are not permitted. Staff/volunteers wear maroon tops and white bottoms.
- Silence Hours: Quiet hours begin at 9:30 PM, with lights off strictly at 10:00 PM to support mental integration and recovery.
- Attendance: Full attendance in all scheduled classes (Asana, Hawan, Meditation, Lectures) is mandatory. Guests must arrive 5 minutes early.
- Safety: Return to the school premises before dark. No hitchhiking or accepting rides from strangers is allowed. The gate closes at night.
Check-In & Stay Guidelines
All guests must check-in and check-out at the reception. A valid photo ID is required. Foreign nationals must provide a valid passport and visa (original documents) for local police registration (C-Form compliance).
Room Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in rooms and cottages. Turn off lights, fans, and taps when leaving the room. Lock rooms carefully. Any damage to school property must be paid for before departure.
Food & Dining: Vegetarian Sattvic meals are served only at designated dining hours in the Dining Hall. We pray collectively before eating and practice mindful chewing. No special kitchen orders are allowed without management approval.
